How It All Started

Otherside Sessions first started as a University project made up by 3 hard-working people studying Music Promotion at Southampton Solent University. The initial idea was to present the world, Soton's best talent in unique locations of Southampton. We think that Southampton has a lot to show, with its beautiful marinas, docks, many parks and vibrant nightlife.

The first video was made in the Ocean Village with the lovely Dawid Kowalski, who sang a cover of Love is a Laserquest by Arctic Monkeys.

For the second session, we invited a local musician Barney Hall to perform a powerful cover of Distress Signal by Tigers Jaw in one of the busiest park - The East Park.
